Over the last three years, we’ve been working with over 200 schools to develop a new way to practise multiplication and division facts. The webinars will cover some of what we’ve learned…

• Times tables practise can be more mathematical and less based on “drill and kill”
• Learning facts in “tables” has inherent problems
• We can give division as much priority as multiplication
• Maybe we should stop calling them times tables!!!

At the end, we’ll also explore Stick and Split. If you haven’t yet heard about it, Stick and Split is a game that can revolutionise times tables practice. Here’s a short video so you can see what teachers have to say about it.
